Accounting Intern

Overview:

VersAbility Resources is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our Dynamic team! This internship will focus on hands-on experience in the field of accounting, allowing you to apply classroom knowledge to real-world financial tasks.

We are seeking candidates who reside in Virginia and can work onsite at our corporate location in Hampton, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementation of ERP software.
• Assist with user acceptance testing in ERP.
• Prepare cutover data from legacy accounting system prior to system implementation.
• Perform physical inventory of fixed assets and implement asset tagging system.
• Assist with preparing new process narratives for various transaction cycles.
• Other Accounting related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently a Junior or Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration requiring GPA of at least 3.0.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Prior internship or work experience in a related field is a plus but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Assist with other projects throughout the accounting department, as needed.
• A valid driver's license is required.
