Terros Health is pleased to share an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Behavioral Health Technician working in the Independent Living Program in Phoenix, AZ. Reporting to the Program Manager, the ideal individual is flexible, compassionate, and professional. If you enjoy working with individuals during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives this may be just the opportunity you've been seeking. This individual provides direct care services (personal assistance and independent living skills training) and supervision of the patient in the own home. You will need to be professional, friendly, a self-starter, organized, and compassionate.

Terros Health is hiring an Full Time Behavioral Health Technician for our Independent Living Program in Phoenix, AZ.

High School Diploma or GED, as Well as a Combination of Behavioral Health Education and Work Experience Totaling a Minimum of Three (3) Years

Full-time Schedule - Mon-Fri 4pm - 12am

40 Hours Per Week

$2,000 Sign on Bonus! External Candidates Only

Below is a sample of the skills you may be providing to the patient:



  • Working 1:1with the member in their home as the residential based program provides customized support for SMI members in their home.
  • Staff work with members to develop new life skills and address safety concerns which includes the following:

    • Goal Development
    • Crisis Intervention
    • Health and Wellness Activities
    • Communication skills
    • Financial management & budgeting and assistance in securing benefits
    • Meal preparation skills (with an emphasis on nutrition)
    • Personal hygiene / self-care housekeeping skills
    • Transportation/ skill building in utilizing public transportation
    • Stress management
    • Safety and hazard recognition
    • Accessing community resources
    • Identify community resources and support systems


  • The goal is to have the member maintain stable housing. Having full or partial resolution of the presenting issues. Psychiatric stabilization; symptom management and reduction; prevention of relapse.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, as well as a combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling a minimum of three (3) years; or an Associate's degree in any field, plus two years of work experience in a behavioral health service delivery working with Serious Mental Illness (SMI).
  • Customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with flexibility, and within prescribed deadlines
  • Competency in Word, Excel, Outlook and Nextgen.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB Test.
