Overview

Haskell is seeking a Lead Engineer - Structural in St. Louis, Missouri for our team focused on private sector buildings design. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and construction teams who are part of Haskell and driven by the same values of team, excellence, service, and trust.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Oversees design team consisting of Professional Engineers, Engineers-In-Training, and CAD Designers. Assigns staff to projects and manages overall workload.
  • Coaches and mentors staff by performing team member performance reviews, managing career path opportunities and encouraging professional development.
  • Assists in securing project work by developing discipline budgets for proposal efforts. Being a leader for the discipline in client facing engagements.
  • Assists in quality control for the team by providing technical guidance, problem solving expertise, performing interdisciplinary coordination and providing support to construction efforts.
  • Keeps apprised of new technologies and assists in the incorporation of the new technologies into the A/E practice and discipline design standards.
  • Partnering with Talent Acquisition, assists in team growth by recruiting discipline staff.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited university
    • Master's degree focused in Structural Engineering is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
    • Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Working understanding of Revit, Concrete Anchor Design (Hilti Profis Anchor/), Enercalc, E-TABS, Mathcad, RAM Structural System (RAM Steel, RAM Concrete, RAM Frame, RAM Foundation), Ram Elements, Ram Concept, SAFE, SAP, SP Mats, SP Slab, and Tedds.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team to achieve business outcomes while helping individuals pursue professional and personal growth

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
