Position Summary

Performs analytical and operational support duties within the Finance Department. Assists the Senior Accountant and other Finance management positions as directed; analyzes and reviews financial statements and other related documents; regulatory reporting, reconciliation and other related analysis tools and procedures; management reporting, ad hoc analysis and other reports, as needed or requested. Creates, manages, and provides various weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports to management. Performs a variety of daily tasks; reviews reports, prepares correspondence; participates in special department projects. Primary Responsibilities

  • Documents and maintains all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control documentation.
  • Assists in the preparation and review of quarterly earnings releases, earnings supplement and earning presentations.
  • Assists in the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, and 8-Ks).
  • Prepares financial analysis to document, refine, and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assumes responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations.
  • Maintains a proficient knowledge of all applicable accounting and banking rules and regulations.
  • Supports the Bank's goals and values; benefits the Bank through outside activities.
  • Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules, and regulations; adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities that are specific to the position.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience performing financial accounting analysis with a background in the financial services industry.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Licenses, Certificates, and other Requirements

  • Must successfully pass criminal background and credit check.
  • Skill in computer terminal and personal computer operation; word processing, spreadsheet, and banking software programs.
  • English skills (oral, written and comprehension) sufficient to effectively communicate with all internal and external customers.
  • Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.
