Your Job
The I&E Field Inspector is key to our electrical, instrumentation, and controls construction in our field jobsites. This role oversees our sub-contractor performing the work while being the liaison between OPD (construction and engineering), our client, and our sub-contractor. Our Team Our field construction crews are dynamic high performing teams who champion our safety culture while maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship between OPD and our customers. What You Will Do * Steward for OPD safety culture, including overseeing I&E subcontractors and vendors LOTO and procedures. * Plan and oversee I&E subcontractor's project progress. Ensure that they are meeting the schedule milestones. * Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with specifications, codes, and best engineering practices throughout construction. * Inspect I&E field construction for compliance of Clients specifications, OPD test procedures, QA/QC, and state and local standards. * Inspect all subcontractor installations to ensure they are within OPD quality standards and customer specifications. * Understand client requested scope changes and coordinate additional materials, approvals, or labor with the I&E Project Manager. * Assemble daily reports and update the loop and power checklists based on sub-contractor progress. * Assist in plant commissioning and start-up activities as needed. * Oversee materials; ensure that vendors are following OPD best practices onsite and that subcontractor is following OPD materials check-out procedures. * Review and/or create project 3-week look ahead with the support of I&E Subcontractor. 3-week lookaheads include materials, schedule, manpower, issues, discipline interfaces. * Liaise between field document control to ensure all required redlines on documentation has been acquired for the issuance of job books. * Willing to travel to other locations for bid-walks or walk-downs as needed. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Past experience as main point of contact for I&E construction * Progressive career experience working in industrial I&E What Will Put You Ahead * State Licensed Electrician * Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field * NCCER certified Industrial electrician At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
