Overview

We are looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team. This role is responsible for assisting with the financial reporting function of the organization. Primary responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP, leading the monthly trend analysis, and preparing technical accounting memos. This role will be working cross-functionally with various departments which will primarily include General Accounting, Research and Development, and FP&A. This role will be reporting to the Director, Accounting - Financial Reporting and Investor Relations



Responsibilities

    Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with preparation of supplemental reports, bank compliance documents, and investor presentations.
  • Work with the general accounting team to prepare supporting documentation for all financial statements and related footnotes.
  • Research relevant accounting guidance and draft memos on technical accounting issues.
  • Prepare technical accounting assessments of potential internally developed software projects and Capex/Opex treatment of contracts.
  • Prepare quarterly summary of new and amended GAAP and SEC standards.
  • Support the financial statement audit by assisting with the preparation of supporting memos, documentation, and reports.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement trend analyses and balance sheet reconciliation lead sheet. Lead the monthly trend analysis meeting with the Controller.
  • Prepare global consolidations with Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow reports.
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of comprehensive accounting policy guide for the company
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (or on current path to achieve certification).
  • Minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience. A combination of public accounting experience and private company experience is preferred.
  • 2-3 years prior experience preparing GAAP financial statements as well as preparing technical accounting memos
  • BS/BA degree with an emphasis in Accounting.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and understanding of internal controls.
  • Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, strong project management skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to multiple demands and shifting/competing priorities, and deliver high quality work.
  • Advanced Excel skill required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle NetSuite and Workiva Wdesk are preferred as well as relevant

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Base compensation ranges from $80,000 to $105,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs."
