Foth is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Lead Packaging Designer who has a desire to contribute to our clients' success and is looking for new learning experiences and opportunities for career growth. This position will be working out of our Green Bay, WI location. Position Overview: Your focus will be to support engineers with designing packaging systems for industrial applications, primarily in the food and beverage industries. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills are necessary for this position, as you will likely be working simultaneously on multiple projects. In this role, you will support various efforts both in the field and in the office. Regular travel for this position is expected to be approximately 10-20% annually. These efforts can include, but may not be limited to, the following: Field information-gathering efforts including 3D scanning Developing and/or updating CAD concept layouts for packaging systems Designing within packaging equipment specifications Creating engineering drawing packages Drawing management / coordination with clients Interacting with designers from other disciplines Coordination, delegation, and oversight of design efforts of others, potentially including contract labor Providing mentorship and/or coaching of others in the packaging systems discipline Supporting field startups Collaborate with engineers in decision-making process Writing equipment specifications and installation scopes of work Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent experience 7 years of experience as a CAD designer Required Previous Experience with the Following: Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Proficient with using 2D and 3D CAD software for equipment integration Manufacturing processes, capabilities, and materials Preferred Previous Experience with the Following: Packaging systems design for the food and beverage industry 3D scanning 3D data registration and software to create / view 3D drawings (Autodesk ReCap and Navisworks) 10+ years of experience as a CAD designer Why Foth: Established Reputation : With over 86 years of experience, we are proud to be 100% member-owned.
