Job Description: Lean Specialist Co-Op - Fall 2025

The Role: Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a/an Lean Specialist Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
In this role, you will learn how to apply Lean Manufacturing initiatives to: Eliminate Waste and its negative factor on cost; Improve Quality, stay ahead of our competitor and delivering to and exceeding our customers' expectations; Reduce Cost, reduce inventory and labor costs through improved material and production process management; and Reduce Time, increase manufacturing and process efficiencies to shorten customer lead times.
What You'll Do: * Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and techniques in production operations. * Conduct time studies and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in production processes. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements. * Participate in lean training programs and apply learned principles to real-world situations. * Lead or participate in GEMBA walks, and drive CI culture across plant functional areas. * Identify and troubleshoot issues in production processes to ensure efficiency and quality. * Monitor and track key performance indicators to measure the success of lean initiatives. * Contribute to the development of standard work procedures and visual management tools. * Work closely with production supervisors and operators to identify areas of waste and implement solutions. * Participate in continuous improvement projects and provide recommendations for process optimization. * Assist in the creation and maintenance of lean documentation and training materials.
What We Seek: * Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions. * Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, Power Point, and Visio (Value stream mapping) * Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently as well as in a team and to lead small project group
Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: * Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or similar. * Graduating in December 2025 or later
Eligibility: * Must be a currently enrolled student * Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in July through December * Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op program * Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
