Job Overview:

The team is responsible for managing the overall Merchant Certification process. Review, analyze and coordinate project requirements with business units. Ensure compliance with industry association rules. Coordinate with network, operational and application point of contacts to ensure necessary equipment is ordered, installed and configuration setups are complete. Schedule, review and validate testing results with client (merchant, vendor and TPP).

Job Description - Level II EMV Certification Analyst

Team of POS Certification Analysts (PCAs) that provide certification and developmental support to Point-of-Sale (POS) product providers and payment gateways.

  • Support MSR, EMV/Chip, API and Gateway client certifications
  • Manage Certification timelines by working with POS vendors, Acquirer client teams (network, authorization, settlement, compliance teams etc.) and Brand validation service provider
  • Review Certification requirements and submit online TSE (test selection engine) forms for all brands
  • Generate required L3 test plans, test card profiles, and test simulator setup to support all test scenarios (simulators like Astrex or t3 or Paragon etc.)
  • Perform Acquirer specific validations as per client (acquirer) authorization and settlement message formats
  • Troubleshoot settlement and back-office process issues
  • Raise internal waiver as needed for test scenarios that are not currently supported by acquirer
  • Maintain tools, licenses, and connections that support the Certification needs
  • Documentation- Waivers, Overrides, validity of Hardware, Kernel & Payment applications, brand letter of approvals etc.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience with Level 3 EMV/Chipcard Point of Sale (POS) certifications, such as Tier 3 tech support, and Transaction processing back-office operations
  • Payment systems and processing solutions management with relevant knowledge of acquiring processing and network business
  • Prior experience with ISO 8583 transaction processing specifications, online payment, risk management, or point-of-sale transactions
  • Working experience with EMV Level 3 Card log test tools (like BTT & ICCSimTMat)
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams within a multi-region matrix organization and with business partners on key tactical programs
  • Strong teamwork skills and excellent collaboration skills with the ability to collaborate with inter-disciplinary groups
  • Results driven and flexible
General Requirement
  1. Location - US (Client Office - No remote work)
  2. Some after hours/late night work may be required for supporting client product launches

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
