The Arkansas Archeological Survey (AAS) is a unit of the University of Arkansas System. Our mission is to study and protect archeological sites in Arkansas, to preserve and manage information and collections from those sites, and to communicate what we learn to the people of Arkansas. Cooperative agreements with seven state university campuses, two state parks, and the UA System's Winthrop Rockefeller Institute enable scholars at ten research stations around the state to carry out this mission. https://archeology.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties:The Fiscal Support Technician is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related duties within the Survey including: reviewing and processing routine purchasing requests from Survey staff for IT related products and/or services, in accordance with established University policies and procedures; preparing basic procurement documentation, and interacting with vendors and staff on routine day-to-day procurement issues; is responsible for asset tracking and inventory of all IT related assets.

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma

  • At least one year of experience in procurement and/or asset management in Workday

  • Must possess a valid Arkansas driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience with IT Asset Management and asset tracking tools

  • Experience with VPAT and HECVAT policies and procedures, and other applicable procurement laws and regulations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities(KSA):

  • Knowledge of database accounting and management principles

  • Knowledge of computers and software application programs

  • Knowledge of inventory control and records management procedures and practices

  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (including Teams) and Workday ERP

  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization

  • Ability to research, verify information, and develop strategies and courses of action based on the information garnered

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
