Position Summary:

Meitheal Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sr. National Accounts Director who is highly motivated to play a key role in building access strategies in addition to their execution. Reporting to the Executive Director of Payer National Accounts, this individual will have primary responsibility to serve as the liaison between the company national and regional PBM/Payer customers, across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and other segments with core responsibilities for National Accounts and their affiliated partners. This role plays a critical part in expanding Meitheal's market presence while advancing physician and patient access to Meitheal's fast growing specialty portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Work in concert with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of pricing and contracting strategies with overall commercial objectives and brand strategy.

* Develop, implement, and refine payer opportunities and access strategies for key accounts ensuring profitable access and reimbursement.

* Identify opportunities beyond traditional payer channels to facilitate product growth.

* Build new and leverage existing account relationships to provide successful near-term access for current brands while preparing for future product launches.

* Develop account-specific strategic business plans and provide business updates and reviews.

* Utilize strong business acumen, comprehensive account and industry knowledge, and financial modeling to develop compelling proposals and negotiations strategies.

* Work compliantly with Medical Affairs/Medical Information to convey scientific and HEOR data to healthcare decision-makers.

* Lead negotiations with payer partner accounts to expand access while maintaining profitability.

* Monitor competitive pricing and contracting activities and proactively identify opportunities and threats to inform strategic decisions in pricing and contracting.

* Assist with the implementation of contracts, including rebate payments and projections.

* Actively participate at major market access conferences (i.e. PCMA, AMCP, Asembia, etc.)

Requirements, Preferred Skills, and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required, MS or MBA preferred.

* 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with some combination of payer account management, payer reimbursement, payer marketing, and/or having experience on the customer side of the business

* 5+ years calling on national PBMs

* Strong understanding of the evolving US healthcare system, payer dynamics, access, and reimbursement.

* Demonstrated leadership of market access strategy of both pharmacy and medical benefit products.

* Demonstrated market access/customer segment knowledge across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.

* Demonstrated business acumen, analytical prowess, and strategic thinking abilities.

* Anticipatory, with the capacity to think through enterprise lens with good grasp of the broader healthcare landscape.

* Strong collaborator and demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders to support strategic decisions.

* Understanding of the applicable legal and regulatory environment.

* Specialty Pharmacy experience a plus.
