*This position is a hybrid position based in Hanover, PA.

Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant at Utz, you'll play a pivotal role in our accounting team by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close activities. You'll be integral in helping us maintain the financial accuracy that fuels our continued growth.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and record trial balance entries by compiling and analyzing account information, with an emphasis on property, plant, & equipment (PPE), leases, and debt. Additionally, familiarity with PPE tax component ideal, but not required.
• Reconcile assigned trial balance accounts, including researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting as well as assist with audits.
• Assist with special projects.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 1-3 years in public accounting preferred.

Skills:

• A passion for accuracy and a knack for managing multiple projects.
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders across the company.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, to streamline your work.
