Position:Business Analyst
Location:Livermore, CA
Salary Range: $76,900 - $86,900 per year
Clearance: Clearable to Q

This position will provide end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL conformant.

You will perform system capacity analysis and planning. Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for a project while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed. You will assist users in accessing and using Application systems. You will analyze and study complex system requirements and identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals.

You will review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques. You will assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using your knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning. Assist users in accessing and using Application systems.
  • Analyze and study complex system requirements
  • Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
  • Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages.
  • Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed.
  • Typical areas addressed include IT and Operations. Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area's ability to support/meet organizational goals. Support the development of functional area strategies for enhanced IT
  • Develop communication tools to gather use-case of different IT products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in computer science or related field and 2 years of related experience. In lieu of degree and additional six years of experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job totalling eight years of related experience.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance or hold a current DOE Q clearance or DOD Top Secret Reciprocity

Required Skills:

  • Great communicator, ability to assess technical needs of a non-technical partner.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Confluence, and Teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management background and/or certifications (PMI, Agile, etc) would be a huge plus for a candidate
  • ITSM Certificatiions (Ex: ITIL, CompTIA, etc)
  • Software Services Certifications (Microsoft, Confluence, etc)
