The Opportunity

We are looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Planner to join the Refinery Services team at Boron Operations.

What the role entails

This role is a great opportunity for an industrial instrumentation & electrical supervisor or planner located in California to become part of Rio Tinto Minerals that operates globally providing borates to world markets. Reporting to the Superintendent, Planning & Scheduling, you will be:

* Detail planning of jobs in SAP, capturing improvement changes, developing estimations of resource requirements and materials;

* Create, publish and track the budget for area of responsibility;

* Prioritizing work with the Supervisors, Superintendents and external departments, utilizing your considerable stakeholder and relationship building skills;

* Delivering work plans that enable work to be executed safely and in the most efficient manner;

* Ensuring conformance with the Rio Tinto work management obligations;

* Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement which will improve I/E maintenance efficiency, safety, reduce costs and increase reliability.

* Help maintain mobile maintenance KPIs such as schedule compliance, scheduled work and availability.

* Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to assess electrical and instrumentation equipment requirements.

What you will need for this role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Minimum 5 years of industrial I/E maintenance experience

* Previous I/E maintenance planning and scheduling experience

* SAP experience

* Microsoft office, excel, project experience a plus

* Millwright &/or Instruments and Electrical Supervisory experience

* Strong organizational and time management skills preferred

* Detail oriented

* Previous exposure to Union environment

* Knowledge of steam and boiler equipment will be helpful
