Position Summary:
The Senior Director, GPO Accounts is responsible for all Meitheal related account activity and product sales to assigned GPOs (i.e. VitalSource, Onmark, ION, etc.) and the subsequent sales to targeted specialty group practices (specifically the buying headquarters) aligned to those GPOs.
Pay range for this position is $235,000 - $275,000. Payrate is determined by considering a person's prior experience and competence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales
- Execute GPO and key account strategies to ensure patient access to Meitheal products. Collaborate with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Oncology Account Managers (OAMs) to ensure pull-through of GPO contracted products.
- Partner with GPOs to identify opportunities and programs that support member education for products.
- Identify GPO meeting sponsorship opportunities and in-practice program opportunities.
- Coordinate periodic business reviews with GPOs.
- Provide insights and strategic input to support developing GPO strategy and contracts.
- Negotiate and ensure the successful execution of appropriate (product) contracts with assigned GPOs and drive subsequent sales to achieve relevant sales goals.
- Monitor and ensure GPO contract performance and adherence.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with field sales and reimbursement managers to identify and resolve large community or systems-based reimbursement, or patient access issues
- Collaborate with Trade Relations to support engagements, and if appropriate, partnerships with trade organizations such as COA and NCODA.
- Work with the market access team to identify opportunities to use GPO membership for advocacy efforts with health plans as needed.
Account Strategy and Planning
- Analyze product volume trends for assigned accounts. Work with brand marketing and contracting operations to create contract opportunities that support brand growth initiatives.
- Assess GPO initiatives that create unforeseen opportunities for Meitheal's products and create and execute a plan of action to maximize those opportunities.
- Inform Specialty sales leadership of all opportunities to increase sales on a select GPO basis and provide guidance and direction on how to maximize the opportunity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 7 years' relative experience with at least 4 years of pharmaceutical or oncology GPO experience required.
- 4+ years of account management experience.
- Experience managing a sales relationship with large national GPOs, and/or community oncology GPOs, is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of the US oncology marketplace including the economics associated with biosimilars and oncology medical and pharmacy benefit products.
- Strategic mindset and patient centric approach to the business.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience launching infused and/or oncology therapies with GPOs focusing on driving results and meeting/exceeding objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the many demands of external customers, internal stakeholders, multiple brands and cross-functional partners to drive results.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to engage at all levels of the organization including C-Suite level relationships.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on finding solutions to meet organizational goals.
- Working knowledge of US health care policies and relevant legal, compliance, regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Ability to accommodate extensive travel (>50%).
