Staff Nurse (RN) - Acute Care - General Medicine

Job Description
The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing

Additional Education Desired
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing

Required Qualifications
Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. *Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

• 7 East Rhodes is a 14-bed unit in the Acute Care Department. We are an Accountable Care Unit. As an Accountable Care Unit, we primarily house one medicine teaching service. On our unit, nurses work in close collaboration with the attending physician, residents, and medical students on this single medical service to deliver care in a team-centered environment. Our physician team room is close by to promote this team-based approach. Our team is passionate about staff development and advancement. We would love to welcome you to our team on 7 East Rhodes. (7ER will become 21S combined with 9ED as one unit with General Medicine 6 patients, and overflow for orthopedic/Trauma with the addition of 6 PCU beds in the new tower in February 2026)
