Job Description

Directs the sales, service and distribution of the organization's products and services within a specified region or other major geographic area through assigned sales managers and/or sales representatives and sales office activities. Ensure the maximum sales volume and profitability for the organization's products and services in assigned region.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the entire account selling process from initial prospecting through service implementation which includes forecasting, call planning, cold calling, managing the sales funnel, proposal generation, contract negotiation, sales data management, and exceeding monthly revenue objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive timely territory/pipeline activity reports, new prospect lists, sales forecasts and action plans to maintain required sales targets. Develop, implement, and meet sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Manage multiple projects. Sell to a variety of buying influences, generally mid-to-upper level managers, occasionally C-Level buyers. Understand competitive positioning and market buying behavior in addition to pricing relative to competitive environment and market conditions.
  • Develop basic account territory plans that include detailed account insight, competitive knowledge, organizational structure, top account information, total solution selling and future opportunities and/or threats.
  • Mentor others on sales team to ensure their success and career development. Coordinate and share knowledge and information with other Sales Representatives and Sales Managers.
  • Identify and assist in problem solving of process / procedures or product improvements by identifying trends, problems, market changes and customer feedback.
  • Manage customer relationships and develop strategic and tactical plans to optimize sales potential.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrates successful selling abilities, including cold calling, as well as strong products and services knowledge as it relates to the printing industry.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the person in this role will be responsible for or will assist in proposal development, presentations to internal and external customers and the development of his/her sales representatives. Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical ability in order to conduct comprehensive customer needs analyses, develop recommendations, overcome objections, and create solutions. Requires ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity.
  • Must have the ability to lead, and to create an atmosphere where others can perform at an optimal level.
  • Knowledge of all company policies, procedures and principles of business ethics and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Ability to work in a highly competitive and dynamic sales environment.
  • Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Bachelro's degree in business or related field, with 8+ years of selling and management experience
  • Requires very good understanding of sales and management principles

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $155,000 to $248,200 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future.At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
