Description
The Library Director is the lead administrator for the WVU Tech Library with overall responsibility for leading, staffing, programming, and enriching the services and opportunities the library brings to the life of the WVU Tech campus community. The Library Director works with library staff at WVU Tech and across the West Virginia University (WVU) Libraries, student support services, academic units, and directly with students to enhance, develop and integrate library services and resources. The Library Director's focus is on enhancing information literacy across campus through instruction and integrated services and programming. The Library Director also participates in and develops "Communiversity" programming. The Library Director is a faculty position that participates in the faculty processes at WVU Tech and is a member of WVU Libraries Faculty Assembly. In this small library, the Library Director must also be engaged in all aspects of library work, including supervision, facilities, outreach, reference and research services and desk coverage as needed.
