Responsibilities

The Chest Pain Center Coordinator / Stroke Center Coordinator is responsible and accountable directly to Emergency Room Director. At DMC, the Chest Pain - Stroke Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Key Elements of the Chest Pain Center Accreditation/Stroke Certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement and community outreach. This will be achieved by collaborating with the Emergency Department, ED Director, the Chest pain Committee, Stroke Committee, EMS, hospital department directors and staff.



Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.

2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

3. A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment.

4. Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.

5. Team approach to patient care.

6. Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.

7. Day and evening flexibility required.

8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
