What You'll do: Groundswell seeks an experienced and proactive IT Service Delivery Lead to drive and enhance the delivery of IT support and infrastructure services. This role involves overseeing the daily activities of junior IT support staff, managing service quality, infrastructure operations, and ensuring effective implementation of cybersecurity standards. This position requires hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure management (AWS/Azure), proficiency with PowerShell scripting, strong familiarity with Meraki network solutions, and experience implementing and maintaining NIST 800-171 controls and ISO 27001 standards. The IT Service Delivery Lead will also assist Groundswell's Growth team by reviewing or creating technical documentation for Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and perform minor physical tasks related to hardware maintenance and event setups as needed. This position is ideal for a seasoned IT professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is committed to providing exceptional IT service delivery, infrastructure oversight, and operational leadership. This position is on-site in our Mclean, VA office and the required working schedule/hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Responsibilities and Duties: IT Service Delivery & Operations Management
- Monitor IT service performance, troubleshoot issues and bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate comprehensive IT support across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring reliability and availability.
- Ensure IT infrastructure scalability and optimization across all platforms (AWS, Azure, GCC High).
- Leverage PowerShell scripting extensively for system automation, efficiency enhancements, and administration tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Groundswell's IT Ticketing System (Trello), ensuring SLA adherence.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Oversee day-to-day activities for one or more junior field engineers.
- Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to junior IT staff.
- Serve as the escalation point for technical incidents requiring advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
Cloud Solutions & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee and manage Groundswell's AWS cloud solutions and infrastructure.
- Support project-specific cloud infrastructure requirements, ensuring compliance, scalability, and security standards are met.
- Ensure IT infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and optimized to support current and future business needs.
Network & Security Management
- Manage, configure, and monitor network infrastructure leveraging the Meraki dashboard.
- Collaborate with internal and external security teams to address and mitigate cybersecurity risks and incidents.
- Implement, manage, and audit compliance with NIST 800-171 controls.
- Ensure strict adherence to ISO 27001 requirements for data security and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Business Alignment & Communication
- Provide strategic input into IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Foster positive relationships with IT service providers, software vendors, and cloud partners.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear, concise, business-friendly communications for stakeholders.
Growth Team & Proposal Support
- Assist Groundswell's Growth team by creating or reviewing technical documentation to support RFIs and RFPs.
- Provide subject matter expertise to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with proposal requirements.
Physical & Mechanical Tasks
- Conduct minor mechanical or physical tasks, including replacing network rack components, cabling, and equipment installation.
- Prepare internal facilities for IT-related meetings, conferences, and events.
- Lift and move equipment as required (up to 50 lbs).
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director to support Groundswell's ongoing and emerging business and technological requirements.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to pass a government background check 10+ years of relevant IT support experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or escalation capacity Extensive experience in practical implementation of NIST 800-171 controls Proficient with PowerShell scripting for automation and systems administration Hands-on experience managing AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions Expertise managing enterprise networks and infrastructure using Meraki dashboard Strong understanding of ISO 27001 standards Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Must be local to the DC Metro area and committed to being on site Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Occasional flexibility required for after-hours support or infrastructure maintenance Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required for hardware setup and infrastructure tasks

- AWS Solutions Architect
- Experience with Microsoft GCC High environments
- Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring junior IT personnel
- Proven success in meeting stringent Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Experience working with Tenable and Veeam
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 20000 standards
- Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) certification
- ITIL Foundations

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $77,927.00 - $150,280.00
