Job Title: Network Operations Support Technician
Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Tuesday - Saturday Description: We are seeking a motivated and proactive Network Operations Technician to join our NOC team on the 2nd shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for junior candidates looking to grow their careers in IT and network operations. Key Responsibilities: * Monitor all supported platforms according to established routines to ensure stable operating environments and maximum utilization of system facilities. * Operate and monitor console systems and peripheral equipment such as printers and disk devices. * Conduct routine technical procedures, including adding and running ad hoc jobs in the Enterprise Job Scheduler, user administration, participating in disaster recovery exercises, conducting code promotions, and more. * Take first-level support calls to assist the Service Desk and maintain documentation. * Work with escalations from the service desk team, handling issues with varying severity levels: * Severity 1: Immediate escalation to on-call personnel. * Severity 2: Ops action required based on procedure referenced in the alert. If unresolved, escalate to Severity 1. * Severity 3: Ops action required based on procedure referenced in the alert. No call placed regardless of the outcome. * Severity 4: Ticket, no other escalation. Skills and Qualifications: * Previous help desk support experience, including ticketing system experience (ServiceNow). * Familiarity with O365, Control M, batch processing, and virtual machine environments. * Previous NOC experience and the ability to identify and resolve or escalate specific issues. * Knowledge of Windows 10, job scheduling, mainframe operations, Active Directory, NOC center operations, help desk technical support, escalation calls, ServiceNow, O365, Azure, virtual machines, and SolarWinds. Additional Information: * This role requires a proactive individual who can take initiative and work independently once trained. The manager is looking for someone who doesn't need constant direction and can handle responsibilities efficiently. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
