The Principal Network Engineer will function as operations lead providing subject matter expertise and operational support for the team on the IMS Core Subscriber Data Management (SDM) Backend database and provisioning elements including 5G UDR, 4G OneNDS, Provisioning Gateways, and Netact Element Management Systems. The candidate must have hands on experience at an operational level demonstrating routine care and feeding via Linux/OpenStack/Webscale/Application Deployments, scripting, and automation. Must be well versed at debugging/troubleshooting techniques for the application and system infrastructure.
What we're looking for... The candidate will need to be able to support a flexible work schedule, including overnight and weekend work as business needs dictate. The candidate will also participate in on-call rotations that provides after hours critical support to the network teams. Oversee the reporting of service KPI and analytics for the new and existing services within the operation team. This candidate will have a deep understanding of 4G and 5G call flow as well as the proficiency to take and analyze network PCAP (packet capture) on daily basis. Attend performance meetings with vendor, operations, and maintenance engineering personnel for roadmap planning. Build detailed project plans and lead weekly status calls with teams across several organizations. Provide mentoring to the other team members on networking, application design, and engineering. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $187,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. |
