Job Description



Leads the engineering, design and implementation of Directory Services Technology infrastructure plans as it relates to applications that support the health system. Collaborates with architects, application service lines, security, and network engineers to deploy and support infrastructure related to improving security, scalability, and automation.

Job Responsibility






  • Manage, maintain, and support Active Directory Services which provides authentication to the entire Northwell Enterprise.
  • Manage, maintain, and support Active Directory Federation Services which provides application Single Sign On (SSO).
  • Configure new Application SSO integrations and support existing configurations on Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS) and Azure.
  • Manage and maintain the internal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate infrastructure.
  • Support the Security and Compliance teams' initiatives reviewing closing gaps in Active Directory security.
  • Manage and maintain internal Domain Name System (DNS) - on-prem, GCP and Azure - as well as Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services.
  • Engineers, manages and executes design by coordinating with architects in support of application and business driven projects. Provides recommendations where necessary to facilitate design changes/improvements; engineers and builds to predefined and agreed upon specs, provides infrastructure performance monitoring, capacity monitoring and day to day operational support to ensure availability of systems, and recovery where defined and also available.
  • Uses knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of functional objectives and principles to achieve goals in innovative ways. Problems addressed are of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
  • Assist in troubleshooting other teams when issues occur.

Job Qualification




  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience and progressive experience where team leadership was demonstrated, required.
