Quality Compliance Staff

Position Summary:

The Quality Compliance Staff will serve as the primary Quality Management System (QMS) representative for the department, ensuring alignment with QMS standards and facilitating training and awareness programs. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) data to identify trends and recommend improvements. Additionally, the Quality Compliance Staff will develop, manage, conduct, and follow up on manufacturing and OES audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • 4-year college degree or 3 years relatable work experience

  • Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job duties

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and highly organized

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Past ISO, IATF or similar certification experience

  • Trained to IATF16949 standards

  • Experience with auditing and compliance

  • Knowledge of fundamental CoPQ concepts

Essential to Job Functions - Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:

  • Ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts and days as needed

  • Ability to work for extended periods of time while sitting

  • Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday

  • Ability to lift 35lbs from floor to a height of 4ft

  • Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen

  • Ability to travel for business (Domestic and Overseas)

Software:

  • Intermediate experience required in Windows, MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel

Description of Duties and Responsibilities

% of Time Spent performing Duties

Maintain a schedule and perform necessary audits of manufacturing processes, countermeasures, etc -30%

Maintain department alignment with internal and external compliance requirements (QMS, ISO, OES etc) -20%

Gather, track, analyze, report and create action plans to improve CoPQ -20%

Serve as quality representative for the department during internal and external audits -20%

Other tasks as assigned -10%

Production and Location Start-up Duties:

  • Work within small team to develop manufacturing location and processes to support smooth mass production start-up of EV products.

  • Support establishment of QMS system for department (document registration, records administration, etc)

  • Work with regional Quality to audit for baseline OES score and develop improvement plan

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of accuracy with Root Cause Analysis

  • Maintains clean and orderly work environment

  • Interacts with various levels of associates

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed

  • Strong work ethic and self-starter personality

  • Strong abilities in auditing systems and procedures
