The Associate Director, Stewardship Reporting is an integral member of the Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office's Donor Relations team and plays a key role in updating donors on the impact of their philanthropy. Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations, the Associate Director is responsible for writing, designing, managing and producing annual impact and custom reports, along with other highly personalized, meaningful stewardship communications. The Associate Director manages a stewardship reporting portfolio , participates in stewardship strategy meetings, and partners with gift officers and other key stakeholders to create highly personalized and meaningful stewardship communications.
The ideal applicant will be creative, innovative and possess excellent writing, editing, project management and interpersonal skills. In addition, the role requires the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and internal and external business partners and stakeholders. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Serve as lead on the Donor Relations team for producing stewardship reports, ensuring that each report is timely, tailored to the needs and interests of the donors and complements the objectives of the overall stewardship plan. * Oversees stewardship reporting strategy within assigned beat areas. Participates in stewardship strategy meetings with gift officers. * Create, design and edit standard and customized stewardship content using InDesign, Ovrture (digital stewardship platform), and other software following Mass General style and branding guidelines. * Partner with Development colleagues and hospital leadership and faculty to produce fund impact reports, including recent use of gifts, recipients benefiting from the philanthropy and any newsworthy information from the funded areas. * Manage special stewardship projects including narrative and financial updates, executive summaries, videos and other custom gifts. * Collaborate with the Donor Relations team and Development colleagues to draft high-quality custom stewardship communications on behalf of hospital leadership. * Conduct interviews and manage photo and video shoots with physicians and hospital staff as needed. * Promote creativity, initiate new ideas and stewardship efforts, and actively participate in setting team goals and outcomes. * Serve as a resource to Development and hospital colleagues on Donor Relations practices and available resources. * Contribute to maintaining positive office morale, even in the face of high work volume and challenging periods. * Take on other office-wide duties at the request of Development leadership. * Adhere to the mission, credo, and standards of behavior of Mass General Hospital.
