Job Description Job Description EBAD seeks a highly motivated individual for the Production Administrator/Expeditor, reporting directly to the Production Manager, Energetics. This position is located in Moorpark, CA. Responsibilities: The Production Administrator/Expeditor contributes to the successful build and delivery of product to both internal and external customers. The Production Administrator/Expeditor is responsible for coordinating and/or performing tasks associated with operations execution starting with Product assembly line preparation through shipment. The Administrator/Expeditor oversees and coordinates all inventory movement associated with modified-standard and repeat production product manufacture within the production department. Principal duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Prepares assembly line with required paperwork and materials to produce product.
- Verifies all paperwork and materials are properly labeled and meet revision requirements.
- Performs line audits and reviews all documentation to ensure Good documentation practices (GDP) are being followed.
- Coordinates line clearance activities and ensures proper disposition of Inventory balances.
- Reviews, scans, and uploads completed shop floor paperwork for accurate record keeping with ERP system.
- Maintains accurate and timely records of inventory movements and transactions including Customer Furnished Property.
- Reviews allocated inventory on planned shop orders in ERP for production of product. Ensures consumption is accurate for all materials.
- Coordinates with Material Control for timely release of Shop Order and material kits based upon production demand.
- Issues all shop floor point of use materials and reports production in ERP.
- Management of product packaging and shipping; coordinates with planner to acquire packing slip and performs logistical liaison functions.
- Maintains production floor inventory Kanban levels based on strategic stocking plans.
- Interfaces with other functions to effectively and efficiently monitor material flow and work prioritization from customer order receipt to project close out.
- Effectively supports cycle counts and/or physical inventory audits including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation associated with inventory inaccuracies.
- Participates in Continuous Improvement efforts and Kaizen activities.
- Actively leads, creates and energizes positive change. Initiates investigation and involves the key personnel required to resolve problems that may impact scheduled shipments.
- Trains other departments on inventory best practices and cycle counting.
- Contributes to the implementation of a sustained 5S program on the shop floor.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in Materials Management, Logistics, and Planning
- Ability to view at a high level the overall potential risks and impacts within the organization based on material planning decisions
- Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels and to cross-functional groups.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management
- Understanding of configuration management, supply chain, material control, manufacturing, and shipping processes
- Experience with Import/Export requirements and international shipping
- Good working knowledge of computer applications such as ERP/MRP, Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Ability to interpret and understand work orders as well as mechanical, technical, and electronic drawings, manuals, and other related documentation
- Ability to motivate people, particularly in supply chain and materials management environment
- LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred Compensation: Salary Range: $57,000 - $77,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
