Here at Professional Services Group, we are a community-based social services organization looking for a Youth & Adult Support Specialist to join our team in Brown County. In this role, you'll provide individual skill development and support to both youth and adults referred through the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program. You'll help clients achieve their individualized goals by assisting them in their journey toward success. Our program is all about making a difference in the lives of our clients and their families. We offer a range of services, including individual meetings, fun recreational activities that build social skills, crisis intervention, school support, and parent contact.

Position will be part-time to start with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position by growing your client caseload. This is a great opportunity for both experienced professionals seeking part-time hours or recent graduates looking to transition into the human services/mental health field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE YOUTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST:



  • Analyze youth capabilities, strengths and problems to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
  • Implement, evaluate and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth and their families.
  • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
  • Attend youth/family team meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.


LOCATION: Position will travel throughout Brown County area to meet with clients within the home or other community spaces, with mileage reimbursement. Flexibility is available for some hybrid/WFH hours when client visits are not scheduled, for documentation.

SCHEDULE: Part-time leading to full-time. Hours are varied, typically during business hours Monday-Friday between 9:00am and 6:00pm with occasional weekends.

SALARY: $19.00-21.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
  • Previous experience working with at-risk youth and families is preferred.
