Performance Test Engineer - LoadRunner Consultant

Location: 100% Remote, 12+ month Contract

Overview:

Think Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer to join our client as a LoadRunner Performance Testing Consultant. In this remote contract role, you will conduct comprehensive performance testing across various systems and applications, primarily using LoadRunner and JMeter. Your expertise will help optimize testing strategies, ensuring our clients' systems operate efficiently under load.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performance Testing: Design, develop, and execute performance test scenarios using LoadRunner, JMeter, and other tools. Work with SAP and SOAP protocols to ensure the stability and performance of mission-critical applications.
• Test Planning & Execution: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to identify performance testing requirements. Create detailed test plans, define test scenarios, and execute tests as per project requirements.
• Test Automation: Implement automated testing frameworks and strategies to ensure repeatability and efficiency in performance testing. Optimize automation processes to reduce delivery time.
• Analysis & Reporting: Conduct root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks and generate detailed performance test reports. Highlight critical issues and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
• Performance Optimization: Offer insights and recommendations to enhance the performance and scalability of systems, ensuring applications can manage projected user loads and meet business objectives.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their performance goals, present test results, and collaborate on solutions for performance issues. Maintain clear communication and deliver excellent service throughout the testing process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with LoadRunner (including SAP and SOAP protocols) and JMeter.
• Technical Expertise: Strong scripting skills, with proficiency in creating and debugging performance test scripts.
• Performance Engineering Skills: Expertise in performance engineering practices, including system monitoring, bottleneck analysis, and tuning.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
