Position Summary
The Visiting Research Associate I performs research functions within the Vitoux Program on Clinical Research for Equitable Health. The position will meet the human subject research and intervention objectives of the Vitoux Program. This is a part-time 63% FTE position.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the supervising Research Specialist, this position will fulfill research coordination and health coaching responsibilities in two NIH-funded clinical trials (PIVOT and ALOHA). The primary duties will include research participant recruitment and follow-up, data collection, entry and processing, and managing participant scheduling and payments. The role also will assist with the development, implementation, and refinement of research intervention processes and procedures as well as intervention data collection processes. This role may help coordinate the ordering, inventory, and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and data collection and analysis tools. This position conducts research according to study protocols that investigate lifestyle and behavioral health interventions for adults with chronic diseases.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required.
    • Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
    • Entry level knowledge of research methods.
