From your PASSION to ours

The Quality Intern is a 10-week paid summer internship that will work within the Industrial Engineering team under the guidance and supervision of the Quality Manager. The intern will be working with the Quality Manager for the duration of the internship assisting with several projects in the plant. The internship is an onsite role that will be based out of our Wausau location.

The internship program begins June 9th and will go until August 15th.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Work with the Quality Manager and key members of the Quality Staff to gain exposure to day-to-day management of a food manufacturing factory.
  • Help Quality Staff manage food safety related projects, not limited to any specific aspect of the process. This could include supplier raw material quality, lab projects, validations, etc.
  • Train with lab personnel, production team members, quality coordinators, and quality systems
  • Learn and understand dairy/food manufacturing processes
  • Participate in regular production meetings to understand the Plant's daily operation

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Candidate will possess or be pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in a science based degree program with a desire to work in the food manufacturing sector
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and results-oriented in a time-sensitive environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including reporting and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain flexibility in an ever-changing environment
