Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center

Job Description

Provides technique support of the cardiovascular research program. Requires advanced expertise in housing transgene mouse colonies and baseline characterization of these colonies. Requires at least one year of experience in the following: primary cultures of cardiovascular cells, genetical manipulation in vitro such as gene knockdown, overexpression, and editing (CRISPR-Cas9), and omics analyses such as ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, scRNA-seq or snRNA-seq. Responsible for laboratory operations and maintenance, and oversight of cardiovascular biology and pathobiology measurements. Requires conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations of MU.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent and 3 years related research experience. Previous work experience with mouse colony maintenance, tissue cultures and functional assessments of cardiovascular biology and pathobiology required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $12.73 - $19.59 per hour
Grade: GGS 004
