Description
The purpose of this position is to assist in the development and implementation of an enterprise-level data governance framework to identify, classify, and track sensitive and confidential data. This individual will assist in the development and maintenance of a data catalog repository of data sources, data flows, data lineage maps, data lifecycle management, data maturity models, data owners, and data stewards while assisting in the socialization of the data governance discipline throughout the organization for both structured and unstructured data. The position will assist with establishing and ensuring the adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies, programs and practices, both at the department-level and the enterprise-level and supporting the technology use to meet these goals. Other duties include: Develop tools and processes used to maintain a common, enterprise-wide data standard. Implement processes for the creation and maintenance of common data catalogs. Establish an inventory of data assets (Data Catalog). Develop a data classification process. Assist in the design and development of data architecture maps or data flow diagrams - diagrams of process mapping. Develop management and board-level reporting on data governance processes. Assist in the coordination of data governance processes with information security, legal, risk and compliance processes. Actively monitor external trends and best practices for data governance and define data use cases for the organization. Support the technology used to building and maintaining an enterprise data catalog with business classifications and business terms and the data stewards and data owners who utilize it. Position Requirements: Bachelor degree required. Equivalent job experience can be used in lieu of education requirements. 4 - 6 years' experience in a Metadata Management, Enterprise Information Governance or Data Governance role in a major services organization with large-scale data project experience or experience as part of an enterprise task force responsible for implementing or overseeing these governance areas required. Transferable skills with a foundational and working knowledge of the governance areas can be used in lieu of experience in a governance role. Ability to demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication of project rollouts and culture changes. Adaptable communication skills requiring strong written and verbal communication styles, along with creating flow charts or diagrams to complement visualizing complex processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to shift between multiple projects confidently. Experience as a front-end system admin of a cloud or hybrid enterprise application preferred. Skills include configuration of system settings to customize pages or individual settings, creating attributes, creating user and security groups to control access across the system, building out business processes using workflows, using rules to configure compliant outcomes, troubleshooting system bugs, opening vendor support tickets, working issues until resolution, and communication issues back to the business. Understanding of relational databases and SQL syntax required. Preferred: Experience in SSMS preferred. Experience as a data owner, data curator, or data steward a plus. Experience applying industry standard best practices for Information, Data Governance, CCPA, or other privacy laws to enterprise initiatives and projects utilizing 3rd party tools for compliance with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations preferred. This is an on-site position in Oklahoma City, you have to reside in this area within 50 miles in order to be considered for this opening.
