GENERAL SUMMARY: Under administrative direction of the Nursing Director, plans, directs, develops policies, and creates quality improvement functions; administratively responsible for BestChoice Centralized staffing pool. Assists with marketing and positive imaging of BestChoice program as well as collaborating relationships with leadership member throughout Henry Ford Health. Assures professional, clinical, and educational excellence in the provision of quality care to patients. Reviews, maintains, and evaluates all annual mandatory nursing compliances and requirements. Interviews, evaluates, and hires for the multiple positions within the department, including nursing. Facilitates empowerment of staff in the implementation of creative and innovative patient care delivery models and stimulates a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or completion of other formal nursing education necessary to obtain /maintain and advanced practice nursing Michigan license (midwife, CRNA, CNS or Nurse Practitioner). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting with progressive nursing leadership responsibilities. Knowledge of quality management and service excellence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills that provide coaching and facilitation expertise. Excellent problem-solving skills. Demonstrates innovative, creative leadership style. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan. Basic Life Support Additional Information
