Job Summary

The Calibration Field Technician I performs routine calibration and preventive maintenance of Alcami and customer equipment. Calibration may include temperature, relative humidity, CO2, voltage, pressure, time, rotation, etc. following documented procedures using precision standards. Calibrations and Preventative Maintenance will be performed in-house and at customer sites. Create, modify, and execute calibration procedures and calibration certificates. Perform testing to support the quality management system and report, troubleshoot and make recommendations about quality issues relating to calibration. Assist in filing, data entry, and general record keeping.



On-Site Expectations

    100% on-site position with 90% traveling to customer sites.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.


Responsibilities

  • Perform equipment and instrumentation calibration.
  • Initiate remediation forms when customer equipment issues arise.
  • Submit expense reports on time.
  • Accurately track time spent at a customer site, traveling, and completing paperwork.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians and customers.
  • Understand interval and tolerance relating to calibration.
  • Update the calibration database/equipment history.
  • Report questionable calibration results to supervisor for evaluation and determination.
  • Abide by ISO 17025 principles.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Military, Technical School or Associates Degree required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Gain or maintain industry knowledge through training and seminars.
  • Proficiency in Office Products especially Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Electronic, electrical, and mechanical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Honesty, integrity and confidentiality.


Travel Expectations

  • Offsite local travel is required weekly.

This position works with a moderate noise level.
