This is ahybrid position based out of Feeding America's Chicago office location. At Feeding America, we believe in offering a flexible work environment. Employees can be in the office an average of 2 days a week (when not travelling for work) and work from home on other days. Employees also have access to a 30-day "work anywhere" program during the course of each calendar year that can be combined with PTO and/or holidays.

The Opportunity
The Vice President, Brand and Content will lead Feeding America's brand and content strategy to architect high-impact engagement across donor and audience lifecycles. Drive brand clarity, emotional resonance, and storytelling that inspire action and position the organization as the nation's hunger-relief leader.
Compensation

Here at Feeding America national organization, equality is central to our mission and is an integral part of our compensation policies and structures. As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions.

Salary Range: $188,000 - $193,000 Based on Experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the Feeding America brand vision, goals, and strategies, ensuring a compelling, credible, and distinctive positioning that motivates donor engagement, partner collaboration, and national awareness.
  • Stewards internal and external brand alignment to reflect the full scope of Feeding America's impact and reach.
  • Identifies and prioritizes high-potential target audiences for engagement based on actionable segmentation and behavioral insights.
  • Assesses data and other key inputs to define and monitor brand and campaign KPIs related to awareness, engagement, and donor conversion.
  • Expands and innovates Feeding America's national donated media program, securing strategic media partnerships and maximizing reach and value across paid, earned, and owned channels.
  • Oversees development and execution of national creative campaigns, ensuring storytelling excellence, message coherence, and alignment with brand and audience goals.
  • Champions an authentic national storytelling platform that centers the voices and lived experiences of the people we serve.
  • Partners with key internal teams - including Government Relations, Development, Research and Innovation, and Network Engagement -to ensure brand and content strategies reflect organizational priorities.
  • Collaborates with Development and other teams to ensure brand and content efforts support donor cultivation, impact reporting, and alignment with fundraising goals.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in marketing, brand strategy, content development, or related fields.
  • Experience in omnichannel environments (digital, social, video, and traditional media) with a strong track record in managing external agencies or creative partners.
  • Proven experience developingand executing successful national marketing campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
  • Expertise in audience segmentation, brand positioning, and tracking studies with a demonstrated ability to generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to integrate creative strategy with performance metrics in partnership with analytics and media teams.
  • Excellent creative judgment and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to work across teams and influence outcomes.
