Cloud Developer

Position Description
Will provide cloud programming and software engineering in support of theNational Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) using industry standard software engineering techniques (K8, Docker). Will design, code, test, and document interfaces of moderate to high complexity.

Required Skills
4+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience with AWS Lambda and Python
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes)
• Experience with RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and data modeling
• Must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident and able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badgeto access applicable government facilities/systems.

Education
BS in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent. MS preferred.

Location
This position is located on-site at NSOF in Suitland, MD. Some telework may be permitted.

Salary
The salary range for this role is $62,000 - $275,000/year. This range is a good faith estimate based on similar roles across the organization. ERT considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including the location, scope, and associated responsibilities of the specific position, as well as a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
