Job Description:
The School District of Milton is seeking applicants for a Seventh and Eighth Grade Science and Mathematics teaching position at Milton Middle School. This position begins in August 2025, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team in shaping the future success of our students. We provide a competitive starting salary of $48,816 (based on the 2024-25 matrix) for a 190-day contract, available to candidates with a Bachelor's degree. Additional compensation is available for those with prior public education teaching experience and further education beyond a bachelor's degree, with adjustments for the 2025-2026 contract year to be determined. Qualifications: The School District of Milton is seeking individuals who will engage students in the learning process. Candidates should have an outstanding ability to engage students and inspire them to explore the field of science and mathematics. Candidates should be organized, flexible, and have strong communication skills. Co-curricular coaching and advisor positions may be available. The candidates will work collaboratively with colleagues as a positive and substantial contributor to the school and district; and assume a leadership role in the implementation of district initiatives. Candidates should be proficient in co-teaching and co-planning with special education teachers. It is required that applicants must hold or be eligible for WI DPI Certification in Regular Education - 1777 and have the appropriate position code for seventh and eighth grade students. It is preferred that applicants have or are eligible for WI DPI Certification in Science - 1634 and have the appropriate position code for seventh and eighth grade students. It is preferred that applicants have or are eligible for WI DPI Certification in Mathematics - 1400 and have the appropriate position code for seventh and eighth grade students. AVID experience is preferred. Project Lead The Way experience is preferred.
