Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. SW Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to

  • Execute software testing request on a regular/need basis, ensuring the highest quality in application software testing.
  • Work in collaboration with others to analyze issues discovered in testing/testing gap introduced issues.
  • Discuss and align on test/UAT requirement with project/product team/development team and create test plan.
  • Create, develop, and maintain test case and test suites automation.
  • Develop applications for test engineering to help with testing effort/enhance existing software.
  • Innovate on existing software testing processes.
  • Design and implement C# or Java based test automation solutions (along with Junit/TestNG, Nunit).
  • Perform continuous improvement in test engineering area to improve test environment, performance, stability, reliability and resilience of application software.
  • Participate in team and cross-team technical discussion.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation. Enhance and maintain existing automation test tools based on REXX, C#, VB.Net.
  • Investigate bugs using various available tools and logs.
  • Support cross-functional teams in integrated test efforts.
  • Report project status and issues to Project Managers and Management.
  • Implement standard processes, tools, and metrics to deliver large-scale projects from inception to conclusion that meet quantifiable business objectives.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software testing or quality assurance-related occupation.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT);
  • Creating, developing, and maintaining test case and test suites automation;
  • Developing applications for test engineering;
  • Designing and implementing Java based test automation solutions (along with Junit, TestNG, or Nunit);
  • MySQL or Oracle;
  • Continuous improvement in test engineering;
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation;
  • Implementing standard processes, tools, and metrics to deliver largescale projects from inception to conclusion that meet quantifiable business objectives; and
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities.
Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $105,800.00 USD to $164,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time off and Wellness Programs.
