Role

The PDW Manufacturing Team seeks an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Team Lead Level II to join our production operations group in assembling and testing world-class drones. As a critical member of the PDW leadership team, you will play an active role in the day-day manufacturing activities and initiatives that result in high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, support, and coordinate assembly of drone electro-mechanical sub-systems and final assemblies including technical experience including harnesses, provisioning, embedded, and battery chargers
  • Coordination with production management, material handling, quality, design engineering, and test flight operations to ensure product quality, line continuity, and efficiency
  • Ensure PDW assemblers are trained and utilizing work instructions, critical to quality product characteristics, oversight for cross training, and adherence to established quality and work standards
  • Coordinate execution of production to ensure quality product for on-time delivery to customers.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to implement engineering changes and new products by partnering closely with technical team, production control, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Oversee and coordinate the service and rework of products as necessary
  • Direct management and elevation of issues, problems, and progressand partner with solutioning
  • Ensure continuous improvement awareness and willingness to collaborate to improve processes
  • Develop training materials and conduct Electronics Training including handling and soldering
  • High level of proficiency and ability to train technicians on Electrical Testing including harnesses


Requirements


  • 1-3 years experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
  • Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician performing work on complex assemblies
  • Technical capability to troubleshoot and debug Electronics including PCBA and Integrated Systems
  • Technical proficiency to perform component and PCB level repairs
  • Knowledge of functional architecture and purpose of embedded systems of aircraft supporting evolving requirements to ensure capacity and capability of provisioning hardware aligns
  • Experience assembling and troubleshooting drones, vehicles, or aircrafts is highly preferred
  • A keen eye for detail working with small parts, assemblies, fasteners, etc.
  • Exposure to, or experience in, an ISO9001-2015 / AS9100 quality environment
  • Knowledge of Lean principles such as 5S, line balancing, problem solving, Kanban, waste reduction, etc.
  • Experience using Microsoft Officeproducts


ITAR Requirement
