Description

The Software Development Quality Assurance solves routine tasks in application development, SQL and data reporting with a considerable amount of autonomy, under general supervision. The role also involves ensuring the quality and reliability of applications through testing. Making decisions within established guidelines, seeking advice for complex situations, and often involves influencing others within the job area through the explanation of policies and practices.


Responsibilities

  • Support team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on routine tasks
  • Work with team members and end users to address routine issues and provide support.
  • Adhere to programming policies and procedures, and ensure routine tasks meet quality standards.
  • Apply best practices to routine tasks involving assigned systems and their integration points.
  • Maintain system documentation for routine tasks and communicate task status to team members.
  • Take responsibility for resolving routine application system issues with guidance.
  • Apply system architecture principles to routine tasks, considering business processes that span multiple systems.
  • Conduct tests on routine business use cases to verify data accuracy for new or changed functionality.
  • Support database maintenance and security procedures and perform routine back-up and recovery tasks.
  • Apply ethical guidelines for AI use in routine tasks and support team members in understanding these principles.
  • Continuously learn and utilize new technologies and programming languages as needed.
  • Participate in the complete software development process, including testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Staying knowledgeable about emerging trends and best practices in software development and application testing.
  • Adhering to established change management processes.
  • Being responsible with access to confidential financial, employee and other company data. Understanding and complying with data use, information security, and any other related company policies.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Mentorship

  • May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.


Skills and Competencies

  • Quality Assurance (Manual and Automated)
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Working knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman)
  • Familiarity with system integrations
  • Experience with GitHub for version control
  • Strong understanding of Agile development processes
  • Ability to contribute to CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to create and manage test plans and test cases
  • Ability to create test scripts and execute testing
  • Moderate problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills


Experience

  • Typically, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in software development, application testing or related field.
  • Experience in application development and systems integration.
  • Experience in technical and business systems consultation.


Education

  • A degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field or equivalent experience is required.


Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location B

Salary: $106,000 - $145,00

Location C

Salary: $116,000 - $158,000
