Synchron has an exciting opportunity for an FMS Transportation Coordinator to facilitate transportation efforts required for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs managed by the Undersea Weapons Program Office (PMS 404) of Program Executive Office, Undersea Warfare Systems. We are seeking a candidate to join our team and help provide the U.S. Navy and foreign partners with cutting edge undersea warfare technology. Responsibilities: Review, develop, and amend transportation plans for FMS programs in accordance with the Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR) and Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM) Coordinate Defense Transportation System (DTS) movement for Arms, Ammunition, & Explosive (AA&E), Classified, and Sensitive material in support of PMS 404's FMS programs Assist with transportation planning as part of FMS Case Development, including participation in meetings with US Navy stakeholders and FMS customers Address ad hoc transportation issues and queries raised by PMS 404, Navy Undersea Warfare Centers, and FMS customers Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or additional commensurate experience) Active DoD secret security clearance 10 years of DoD transportation and logistics experience 3 years (min) of experience supporting transportation efforts, including development of transportation plans, for FMS and Security Cooperation programs Desired Education and Experience: Knowledge of FMS-unique processes and policies Experience supporting the U.S. Navy or active-duty Navy experience Work Location: Vicinity of Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC. Telework options for 1-2 days per week.
