Objective

Perform application processing and credit review duties that support Apex Commercial Capital's day-to-day operations and assist in the growth of a successful operation. *Hybrid Position*

Responsibilities/Duties

    Process applications in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Work with third parties to obtain necessary financial and ancillary information when required.
  • Approve credit requests within company policy and guidelines.
  • Deny credit to unqualified applicants.
  • Review and evaluate prospective vendors and brokers as needed.
  • Direct appropriate questions, through the salesperson, to the submitting Salesperson, Vendor, Broker, or Applicant within Apex's expected turnaround guidelines.
  • Proficient in the analysis of credit reports and determining creditworthiness.
  • Provide a high level of service to brokers and/or applicants via phone or written correspondence.
  • Update application database as new information is received.
  • Assign terms and structures to approved transactions.
  • Assist senior management with bulk purchases and portfolio acquisitions.
  • Ensure the status of each application is up to date.
  • Maintain turnaround times in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and concise notes to communicate with other departments.
  • Assist senior management with reporting.
  • Assists in the development of new business for Apex. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Essential Functions

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to operate a computer terminal with repetitive motion. Physical requirements of this position are considered sedentary work involving preparing documentation, preparing, and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, and resolving inquiries. Some amount of mobility to access files, attend meetings, both on and off site, and perform property inspections is necessary. The employee is expected to converse with internal and external customers and exchange information.



Knowledge - Skills & Abilities

  • Use of T-value or Financial Calculator.
  • Self-Starter who is solution orientated.
  • Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications including proprietary account management systems.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in Equipment Finance/ Leasing, Consumer Lending or Financial Credit Review.
