The individual will conduct bioinformatic and network analyses and programming of large scale biological and clinical data. Main data sources include genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, multi-omics integration and electronic health records. In addition, processing data of different single cell analysis platforms (e.g., scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq) will be involved. We expect that qualified candidates are proficient in various bioinformatics tools, have advanced formal training in bioinformatics, network analysis, and developing computational algorithms. May perform other duties as required and as appropriate.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Bioinformatics required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required or Master's degree in computer science or related field preferred.

Licenses and Credentials

Experience
Experience in bioinformatics or related software engineering 5-7 years required; over 10 years of related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • We expect that qualified candidates are proficient in various bioinformatics and biostatistics tools, have advanced formal training in bioinformatics, network analysis, and developing computational algorithms.
  • Solid knowledge in single cell analyses is required.
  • A strong track record in successful interdisciplinary collaboration in biologists and clinicians.
  • Extensive experience in cloud computing environments would also be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, multi-task, make decisions based upon sound principles, and independently problem solve.
  • Possess managerial skills in order to interact with both with statistical staff, Sr. Investigators and other members of the internal and external research group.
  • Ability to draft plans to resolve inaccuracies or other problematic situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail and process oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including both long-term and short-term projects
  • Ability to make decisions related to issues in the statistical group pending final approval from the Director or senior investigators.
  • Ability to develop novel ways to coordinate, manage and report data if required by new trials.
