Student Assistant - IT

Position Responsibilities:



The Student IT Assistant will assist our department with IT needs. We expect candidates to have a basic knowledge of using computers and we provide training for the following responsibilities.



  • Perform walk-in support for students
  • Open and resolve tickets for users' issues using the ticketing system (SNOW)
  • Assist students utilizing Academic Computing services such as connecting a laptop to a wireless network, downloading and installing Antivirus software, login to Gmail Account, printing accounts, and computer lab account...etc.
  • Help students with basic applications such as Microsoft Office, YU Gmail and Canvas
  • Regular computer labs and library visits and reporting of the status of computers and printers
  • Help staff to maintain the printers around the campus; remove paper jams and feed paper trays as needed



Experience & Educational Background:




  • Must be a current YU Student
  • Must be Work Study Eligible

Salary Range:



$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
