Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount, MN located in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro, is hiring a Construction Services Engineer. We are looking for a motivated and self-driven individual with either an engineering background (mechanical, electrical, civil, controls, etc.) or a construction background to join our team. Our Team The Construction Services Engineering position will be part of the Pine Bend Facilities and Construction Services team. This role is a vital position that plays an integral part in supporting capital projects, refinery maintenance, and our Turnaround organization. What You Will Do * Adhere to safe work practices while planning and coordinating execution of work throughout the refinery * Assist the maintenance business in managing daily work activities and overall workflow improvements * Assist Construction Managers, Projects Managers, and our Turnaround organization with the planning, coordination, and transformation of multiple refinery projects and shutdowns * Manage small projects and maintenance jobs in order to meet quality and productivity goal * Encouraged to experiment with new forms of technology or systems in order to transform the way work gets done * May be actively involved during refinery shutdowns and Turnarounds, working varied shifts and continuous days during the scheduled Turnarounds * Utilize Microsoft Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams) Skillsets you will need to be successful: * Clearly communicate ideas both formally and informally to multiple teams * Demonstrate solid teamwork and collaboration * Effectively manage time to meet deadlines and objectives * Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills remove roadblocks and plan work efficiently * Self-motivated and driven * Willing to challenge the status-quo to find a better way Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Construction/project execution experience (maintenance, field engineering, construction management, project management, etc.) What Will Put You Ahead * Two (2) years or more of experience in refining or other petrochemical/industrial facilities * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - 125,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form. At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
