More about the role

Working as a New Product Development Engineer at Signify is dynamic. You'll be responsible for creating the next generation of lighting products. We're greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.

We're looking for a New Product Development Engineer who'll be responsible for the overall mechanical design of new products. This will include component design, structural and thermal analysis, and bill of material creation.

You'll be part of the Signify Connected Building Team in Peachtree City, GA and its responsibilities is to create the next generation of lighting products for offices, education and warehouse spaces

What you'll do

  • Coordinate with Marketing and Quotes to ensure project specifications are clear, complete, and achievable and are consistent with Voice of the Customer data.

  • Ensure design progression via three-dimensional modeling, thermal and mechanical analysis, drawing release, testing plan and third-party compliance.

  • Ensure project tooling budget and product cost requirements are being met.

  • Coordinate with Sourcing personnel to ensure vendors are identified, quotations are being obtained, and quality documents are being supplied.

  • Coordinate with manufacturing personnel to ensure production site has been identified, production equipment and other requirements are being put in place and production readiness is achieved.

  • In conjunction with other team members present the project status at Executive Tollgate Sessions.

  • Special projects as required by management

More about you

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution

  • 3 or more years of product design experience

  • 2 or more years of experience with and demonstrated proficiency with 3-D modeling software

Salary: $ 100,600- $147,510 based on experience level

Bonus: target bonus opportunity 10%
