Position Overview
The Strategic initiatives and Government Relations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and tracking of critical strategic initiatives that advance the organization's goals and mission. The Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations Coordinator will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of initiatives across various departments, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategy. As a key member of the Legal team, you will be part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world!
Job Functions Include:
Project Coordination
- Assists leaders in the development, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives across the organization
- Manages meeting logistics including scheduling, drafting agendas and meeting minutes
- Coordinates project schedules, timelines, and resources, working closely with stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed as planned
- Tracks progress and ensures milestones for strategic projects are met in a timely manner
- Prepares and maintains project documentation, including plans, reports, and updates, to keep leadership informed of the status of initiatives and escalating issues to leadership when appropriate
- Facilitates communication between cross-functional teams - project managers, team members and stakeholder
- Assists in drafting internal communications related to the status and progress of strategic initiatives Maintains electronic filing systems, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality of AgriBank's corporate documents and records
Government Relations
- Plans and coordinates AgriBank District Farm Credit Council meetings and events
- In coordination with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations, supports the annual District Farm Credit Political Action Committee (PAC) Drive and PAC Activities
- Supports Government Relations communications with the AgriBank Board
- Plans and coordinates Government Relations Committee meetings in conjunction with the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations
- Supports the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations in the establishment and maintenance of relationships with other Farm Credit System entities and external parties, including lobbying firms and trade associations, to coordinate government relations efforts and initiatives
Data Governance
- Partner with Director Strategic Initiatives and Government Relations in maintaining document controls
- Support the development and implementation of comprehensive data governance framework
- Ensure project activities align with data governance policies, standards and regulations
- Support data governance by preparing reports, tracking data-related KPIs, and ensuring compliance with governance framework
- Help document and refine data governance processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field
- 4-6 years of experience in administrative duties, project coordination, or strategic planning support
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of navigating complex organizational structures to get things done.
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency office software Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate proficiency in project management tools
- Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Bank's systems and data
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

The typical base range for this role is between $76,000-$117,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
