As a Business Analysis Consultant, you'll work with the brightest minds in the business and find yourself digging deep to find the solutions to help people live healthier lives. Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead, advise, and guide the junior Business Analysts (BAs) on the Newton project
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to elicit, refine, write and prioritize detailed requirements for Newton enhancements
  • Review and sign off on requirements to ensure they are complete in scope, accurate, and aligned with the overall strategic business vision
  • Coordinate with Developers to determine design and validate Developer's understanding of the ask
  • Test system enhancement outcomes once a feature is developed providing actionable feedback, when needed, to Developers
  • Prepare and present demos of system enhancements to SMEs, stakeholders, and testers and provide timely follow up to any questions
  • Take the lead in researching defects and assisting in remediation, especially for all defects regarding formula
  • Perform ongoing necessary activities throughout the lifecycle of the requirements, including meeting facilitation, documentation, status, workflows, tracking
  • Assist with UAT as needed to ensure the final product is defect free



This is a complex, fast-paced, matrixed environment with a lot of moving parts. The challenge is in developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. You'll be expected to interpret and analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources and use it to tell a meaningful story.

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in business/finance analysis
  • Experience writing detailed business requirements
  • Proficiency with Excel



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in underwriting
  • Knowledge of Stepwise
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
