Empath Health is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist I.

JOB SUMMARY: This position has the responsibility for end user support as well as implementation and operation of end user hardware and applications. Also provides advice and training as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup and deploy all end user equipment as needed.
  • Installs, supports, and maintains all end user hardware and software.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of all equipment.
  • Supports other IT team members as needed under the direction of the IT Support Manager.
  • Documents all problems and steps taken to solve issues to better assist in determining patterns that will develop, preventing future occurrences.
  • Support users via remote desktop and in person as needed.
  • On-Call Support: The role requires availability for on-call support as needed (one week every 10 weeks).
  • Travel Requirements: Candidates must be willing to travel across Florida when necessary.
  • Emergency & Disaster Support: Must be prepared to provide onsite support at hospitals during hurricane season, including potential overnight stays.

Skills & Experience
Technical Proficiency: A strong understanding of Help Desk and Desktop Support is required.
Customer Service Excellence: Proven exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining positive client relationships.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Adaptability & Multitasking: Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or ITIL) are a plus.
Remote Support Experience: Experience providing remote troubleshooting and support is desirable.
Familiarity with IT Ticketing Systems: Prior experience using helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Kase) is preferred.
Security Awareness: Understanding of IT security best practices and data protection measures.
