Reporting to the Director, Finance, North America Retail Field Operations, this role provides decision support for North American Retail Finance operations. This role is responsible to assist with preparing, monitoring, and evaluating long range strategic plans and annual budgets, leveraging the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) function, capital planning and analysis, and analyzing performance against established financial targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Our vision as a Decision Support organization is to be the "insights engine" of Nutrien Ag Solutions; this means closely partnering with commercial business unit leadership to provide data driven financial analysis and insight to guide forecasting, capital allocation and decision making. We are looking for a candidate who is innovative and able to adopt emerging data technology tools to elevate FP&A processes and capture efficiencies.

What you will do:



  • Drive development of consolidated Retail budget and annual operating plan for the N. American Retail.
  • Drive analytics and insight related to N. American Retail Ops budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
  • Own the consolidated view for forecasting / planning for the N. American Retail Field Ops.
  • Facilitate enhancements in FP&A processes, including integration with Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Support strategic growth targets by tracking the performance of the group through a suite of key KPIs.
  • Drive Corporate Finance related initiative such as acquisitions, business integrations, capital investments.
  • Provide insightful and actionable management reporting on financial and operating results and key performance indicators to ensure organizational focus on critical value creation priorities and levers.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly commentary on business financial and operational results.
  • Ensure that the Retail divisions adhere to global standards / ways of working.
  • Standardize key management reports amongst the NA Regions to create efficiencies and consistency.
  • Responsible for quarterly/annual benchmark analysis, as it relates to Division, branch, salesman performance.
  • Working with the Compensation team, provide ideas and impact analysis in regard to Retail incentive plans and annual compensation.
  • Apply effective people leadership skills leading team through performance management, career development, and budget management
  • Provide leadership within the Retail Finance Decision Support organization, as well as development of the financial analysts and supporting team.


What you will bring:



  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required, with an MBA or equivalent being preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of related accounting or financial experience
  • Progressive leadership skills developed over at least 3 years
  • Previous experience working on large, highly complex projects with significant business impact
  • Knowledge of North American agriculture markets an asset
  • Excellent financial systems acumen and information technology mindset and orientation required
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and across business units, balancing the requirements of the Corporate office and Retail
  • Operational Excellence and performance improvement mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products
  • Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Experience with large ERPs and various management reporting tools
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management and internal stakeholders in a multi-tasking, deadline oriented, team environment.
  • Solution-oriented with demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and team members.



Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $127,500 - $236,800/annually.This range is estimated forSenior Manager, Retail, North America Finance Operationsin Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
